Design and Illustrate a dust cover of any chosen classic book, in this case, the book chosen is “Sir Gawain and the Green Knight”.

Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is one the great Arthurian romances, an epic poem in which the noble Sir Gawain plays the ‘beheading game’ with a mystery knight – setting him on course for a grand quest in which his virtues are sorely tested.

THE MOON
The moon represents the Green Knight. Designed as if it were a large eyeball, the green knight watches and lurks over Gawain throughout the story and is the main reason for Gawains adventures taking place in the Poem. The bright green pupil points right to Gawain.
GAWAIN
Gawain the main character of the epic poem can be seen at a microscopic scale running across the bridge to the castle of the lord — a turning point in the epic poem
COLOR AND TYPOGRAPHY
The typography here and the color all stay within the themes of the epic poem. Lots of mid-tones and darks are used to depict the dark but hidden nature of the story. A bright muted green is used to depict the Green Knights settle grasp at control, and the green cloth flowing across the cover shows the Green Knight leading the way.
