THE POSTER — Having gone through many stages and reworked to perfection, this poster, supporting their 2023 tour resonates with the band’s true core and values. Its rugged dystopian feel and folky earthy tones Welcome fans to a fun and friendly rock performance.

THE STORY — Going into the project, the band and I knew we wanted to add a story and theme to the production. We came up with and centered the designs around a desolate abandoned Earth focusing on the idea that humans have dwindled heavily, and the natural course of nature has taken over the Earth. Buildings have collapsed, mushrooms now grow everywhere, and plant life has overgrown into things left behind by the human race. The character I created and the one who we follow, “Mr. Trunks”, walks this new Earth traveling long distances to find meaning in his sentience. Being a hollowed-out trunk of wood, Mr. Trunks wonders about exploring artifacts left by the unknown race that once was.

TYPOGRAPHY — Having a mixture of different typefaces, creating a hierarchy through color, and including handwritten words in this poster benefit its design. Being in that same world we created, the poster’s typography was aimed to be ridged, condensed, and "splashed on” which connects the audience to the Western dystopia feeling we are creating here. The colors of the type match the different colors in the illustration to help bring a style to the poster and help identify different key items within the poster itself.
