Find and design a menu layout and other branding deliverables for a chosen restaurant.

PELICAN BREWING COMPANY INFO

Pelican Brewing Company was born at the beach in Pacific City in 1996. Here, in front of a rundown old building at the water’s edge, stood three enthusiastic young folks whose thirst for great beer overshadowed their understanding of what it would take to build a brewery. They did it anyway. And now twenty years later, older, and wiser, Pelican Brewing Company is a craft beer industry leader with fans throughout the Northwest and around the world. Today we’ve taken our breweries and our values to other Oregon coastal towns where we wake up each day in a place that reminds us that amazing is possible. Cheers fellow fanatics. This is as good as it gets.

MENU DESIGN AND BLUEPRINT — Going into this project, and staying on brand with the Pelican Pubs themes, this menu was designed with a sandalwood esthetic made for the beach.

LOGO TOKEN — At the top center of the menu sits the Pelican Pub logo which acts as a “Token” that can be used in the restaurant’s gift shop. Attached using magnets, taking the hidden token off the menu, reveals a 10% discount for all guests to use on any purchase of our merchandise.

TYPOGRAPHY — Using very simple typographic layouts and simplistic hierarchy provides a very readable and kid-friendly menu design.

WOOD DESIGN — Engraved throughout the wooden board that the menu sits on are engravings of squiggly lines representing the beach vibe, and an illustration of all the pelican pubs around the world! Simply flip the menu paper over to reveal all our locations!
